Will my dog actually like wearing pajamas?
It depends on the dog. The American Kennel Club says young puppies and senior dogs feel the cold more than healthy adult dogs, and that small and toy breeds and short-coated dogs can get cold quickly. PetMD names small, light-bodied and toy breeds, dogs with short or thin coats and older dogs as the ones most likely to benefit from an extra layer, and says larger dogs with dense coats generally don’t need one.
Comfort comes down to fit. Your dog should be able to walk, run and play freely in it, and it shouldn’t be so loose that your dog could get tangled, according to the American Kennel Club. If your dog seems uncomfortable, take it off. Talk to your veterinarian about your own dog’s needs.
