What is the Softest Fabric for Pajamas?

When it comes to the sleepwear collections at Eberjey.com, our two softest fabrics for pajamas are our Pima Stretch Cotton or Plush TENCEL™ Modal.

Pima Stretch Cotton is responsible for the smooth hand feel of our lingerie and pajama sets. Besides being super soft, our cotton is woven with just a touch of spandex. This makes our Pima highly resistant to pilling or tearing over time, giving you a long-lasting garment that looks even more beautiful and lustrous while draping correctly wash after wash.

Though we know our pieces need to serve their owners as best as possible, so you’ll find our Pima Stretch Cotton breathable, hypoallergenic and absorbent. This will provide you with the perfect second skin to enjoy deep sleep in, or lounge around the house prepping for your next meeting.

Plush TENCEL™ Modal combines the whisper-soft luxuriousness hand feel with the sound durability and fame of TENCEL™ fibers. Our Plush TENCEL™ is the foundation of our Softest Sweats collection. Naturally, it retains its shape, wash after wash, and is resistant to pilling.

We love it for the texture as much as its low ecological impact. Plush TENCEL™ transforms raw beech tree pulp into lyocell fibers through a closed-loop process. This means that 99% of the wastewater and chemicals are reused, time after time. We think that’s amazing.

OEKO-TEX® has certified our fabric, which means it’s been rigorously tested and cleared for harmful substances by their governing body.

What Type of Cotton is Best for Pajamas?

For those that have a particular love of cotton, it doesn’t get much better than our Pima Stretch Cotton for your next pajama set.

When you start with sleepwear that is breathable, hypoallergenic, and absorbent, that’s great, but it’s not enough. Add just a touch of Spandex so it will retain its shape and actually become more luxurious over time and washes. All of this, while being resistant to pilling, or tears and now you have something that could be considered ‘the very best cotton for pajamas.’

If you prefer cotton for your sleep or loungewear, you’ll be bereft of choices for something better.

What Material is Best for Summer PJs?

Summer can bring us hot, even steamy nights and that’s why we feel TENCEL™ Modal is simply the best fabric for the summer season.

It also happens to be the foundational fabric for some of our all-time bestsellers, and there are plenty of reasons to support that fact. TENCEL™ Modal has a refined softness that can’t be ignored while being incredibly breathable for the season. It’s also resistant to pilling, and completely biodegradable while being able to retain its shape, wash after wash.

The fabric is produced from the wood pulp of the sustainably grown beech trees. The pulp is then spun within a closed-loop process, making it a very eco-friendly product. Additionally, it’s certified by OEKO-TEX®, one of the best-known textile labels that tests for harmful substances and low ecological impact. We have every reason to adore this fabric, and so will you.

What is the Softest Material for Pajamas for Children?

TENCEL™ Modal is a great fabric for your kids' pajama sets!

We need something yes, comfortable, breathable, and hypoallergenic for them to sleep in, but it also has to be a durable material that will last and always looks great. If anyone is going to put our pajama sets through a durability test, it will be our younger fans. Bring it on kids, we’re ready.

We already know it’s super soft and breathable, but it’s also completely biodegradable as well as being resistant to pilling, or tears. A super-fabric for our superheroes.

What Material is Most Comfortable for Pajamas?

When it comes to what will be the most comfortable pajamas for you, the answer will be subjective. So we recommend trying both TENCEL™ Modal and Washable Silk, but for the most luxurious sleeping, or lounging experience, start with the Washable Silk

Our Washable Silk is quite special and has earned its omnipresent adoration. It’s a natural, protein-based, and completely biodegradable textile. That’s great to know, but once you drape yourself in one of our silk pajama sets, you’ll then know true luxury.

It’s not just the sensation you’ll experience on your skin, it's the thermoregulating and hypoallergenic properties that silk pajamas will deliver — quickly turning you into a believer.

And when it’s time to clean your silk pajamas at home? Simply toss them in your machine on the delicates cycle and get on with mastering your day.

Are you ready to level up your sleep, lounge, and home office game? A clean, calm, conscious and simply gorgeous silk pajama set awaits, as another of your desires realized.

TENCEL™ Modal is also a great choice. Maybe it’s a matter of your mood, perhaps when you’d like to choose cozy over luxury?

It’s true, TENCEL™ Modal is the foundational fabric for some of our all-time bestsellers and there are plenty of reasons for this. It’s soft, breathable, resistant to pilling, and is even great at retaining its color and shape, wash after wash.

What Kind of Cloth is (Best) Good for Pajamas?

Washable Silk is what we’d recommend. Though, of course, it does depend on your mood.

Washable Silk provides the wearing with timeless luxury, that in our opinion, just can’t be beat. Couple that amazing feel on your skin with the thermodynamic, hypoallergenic properties and ease of maintenance and you have a possibly perfect combination.

As you move from your bed to the kitchen to your home office- you’re supported by a timeless grace that few get to enjoy. And when the time comes, just toss it in your machine and set the cycle to ‘delicates.’

Now you’re walking between the best of two worlds, where the luxury of times passed meets modern ease and elegance. What could be better?
