How Do You Wash Washable Silk?

No need to head to the dry cleaner. Simply place your washable silk garments directly in the washing machine on a delicate cycle. Use mild detergent and cold water.

Never wash silk or other delicate fabrics with clothing with hardware, such as jeans, jackets, or embellished tops. Washing in a delicates bag can also protect your silks and other intimate items from any abrasive damage that might occur in the washing machine, or from other articles of clothing.

How Do You Dry Washable Silk?

Since washable silk is delicate, be sure to lay flat on a drying rack. Do not dry a wet silk garment in the dryer. Lastly, never dry silk in the sun, as this can cause fading.

How Do You Store Washable Silk?

Our washable silk garments should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry place with adequate air circulation. Being a natural fiber, this fabric needs to breathe, so avoid packing your washable silk in tightly sealed plastic bags. Instead, hang inside breathable cotton bags to avoid unwanted creases and wrinkles. This will allow your washable silk garments to maintain its shape for your next wear.

Also, washable silk should always be clean before storing. Do not store any washable silk garments that may be stained, dirty, or carrying natural oils, as this can degrade the fabric overtime.

How Do You Freshen Up Washable Silk?
